My son (and daughters) are die-hard Thomas fans. If you buy the Thomas brand, then yes, you'll pay top dollar, but there are a ton of knock-off brands that are downright cheap. We got a train table, tracks, mountian, and some generic trains for $60 at Costco. The only "Thomas" merchandise we purchase are the the actual trains...
