Did any of you guys actually read the article?
Because if so, you didn't understand it.
1) Fast food has nothing to do with the war. It has everything to do with good old fashioned capitalism. Are you also upset that enterprising Iraqis have been selling the troops cigarettes?
2) The two franchise owners appear to be Kuwati and they saw a golden (arches) opportunity.
3) There is no 'preference' being given to these guys. Again, some Kuwati's saw opportunity in the time honored tradition of catering to the army.
4) LOL Obesity. Maybe you and I would get fat on a diet of big macs, but not your average grunt in the field. These guys will LOSE weight on 2 MRE's a day, where as you and I would likely GAIN weight. (One MRE has about 2000 calories plus or minus a few hundred.)
