luckily for me, i don't have any upper wisdom teeth, just my bottom two which are almost fully grown out, i've yet to pull them and i'm not sure if i ever will, depending on if it's a danger to my other teeth or bacteria or something similar, which i'm not familiar with so i wouldn't know.
as far as what friends and family tell me about it, all of them were put to sleep during the actual operation, so that wasn't the bad part, but they said it's when the wake up that they feel the excruciating pain, that lasts for several good days, but the pain killers should atleast help suppress it a bit. i believe a large factor has to do with how fully developed the teeth actually are before you have the removed, so i guess if they are still below your gums, it will be more painful, if not, then less...but that's just a guess. anyways, good luck...let us know if it was as bad as you thought.
