American tennis has gone downhill a lot since the days of Jimmy and Johnny Mac. When I grew up tennis stars had pizzazz and flair, personality that made it fun to watch. Today they don't have that.
I remember as a kid when my friends and I would play tennis we'd choose who we were and try to play like them. I was always JIMMY CONNORS..... he was the best and he added humor and excitement to the game.
I think that tennis is too "slow" and too "athletic" for people in the US now and they just have lost interest. Therefore the kids don't really play and the talent isn't there anymore.
Hopefully, it will change and kids will get involved again and we can actually have talent out on the courts again.
PS I like Agassi, but he's getting older and he lost focus when he married Brooke Shields. He's still good but I don't think he's hungry to win.

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
