I bought my nephew the starter GeoTrax set last July or August (Tracktown Railway) when he was about 18 months. I knew he was a bit young for it at the time, but I figured he'd like it and eventually learn how to use it. My sister had wanted to get him a Thomas the Train wooden set (just because, I'm convinced, every other young mother she pals around with had gotten it for their kids). That one is SO expensive and is not powered at all. The GeoTrax trains are remote controlled and easy enough for my nephew to run at 2 years old. Should have some lasting interest too since I'm addicted to changing around the track layouts for him to keep it interesting. We've bought more and more pieces and added on stuff and really think it's a fun, durable toy. Just curious if anyone else has gotten addicted to it.
