I saw this episode last week, Feb 21st. Sorry man. The Hip's appearance was pretty short, I don't think they even had any lines. Colin James was a little more involved.

I don't really get that from it at all. If anything Corner Gas is more like a live action version of Family Guy, what with the absurdity and non-sequiter flash backs.
Regardless its a great show, especially for a Saskatchewanian like myself.
