The cost of shipping little parts like this is why I have a room full of old electronic crap holding down my house.
Short of donor boxes you might consider cheap multi-port PCI 1394 cards. They're as low as $5 online, maybe $10-15 at Fry's. Pull one connector and you still have a useful card. I had starving EE friends who'd return the 2-port version.
