Tour Cancellations
So about a week ago I'm looking around on the tour-page websites of my favorite bands and find out that Nightwish is going on a US tour this spring/summer and that they're touring with Sonata Arctica. I've been a Nightwish fan for a while, but I've only recently started listening to Sonata Arctica. Naturally, I was excited as hell to get to see them both on the same night. There wasn't going to be a show particularly close to me, but I was willing to go out of my way a little bit to make sure I saw them.
As soon as I started making arrangements with friends, of course, tour dates started to change from April to September and then started to disappear altogether. It's to the point now where I think Sonata Arctica isn't going to be opening for them at all except for maybe once or twice in Ohio or something and there are about half as many Nightwish shows as there originally were going to be, none in cities that I can easily make it to. Drives me up a wall when this happens. Ah well, maybe things will get changed back. Keeping my fingers crossed...
I'm sure this has probably happened to everyone before, but what's your worst experience with being disappointed with a scheduled tour being changed or cancelled?
