As I said earlier, it has to do with permissions. You may try to enter your login and password for and from your PC when you try to connect. You shoudn't need Maclan to connect and since you allready see the network, half the job is allready done.
The printer is available through your network so again, getting your mac to connect to the PC should nearly solve that problem. Make sure you share your pc printer by right clicking and giving access to it or your mac won't be able to see it.
To see your printer from your mac go to the system prefs, and choose Print & Fax to open up the panel. Go to set up printers and press add.from the top drop down menu choose Windows printer and wait for your PC to be recognised (again, you need to make sure you can connect your mac to pc before this will work). You will need to enter the login and password again and it should bring up your printer after for you to selct. You may have to give it the Model and company but mine appeared right away.
