I had no problems with step 1. I did the first part of step 2, but when it came time to "connect to server..." I found my PC on the list, but when I tried to connect to it, a window popped up and asked for my login/pw. I gave the correct information, but it says "The alias "SPRITEBOX" could not be opened because the original name was not found."
I can, however, transfer files from my PC to my mac and from the mac to the PC using the PC.
I still can't print from the mac.
Edit: The printer is a Lexmark X5270
