My current boyfriend is a Piercer and he did my nipples back in September (2004). I had to have one done the first night and the second one the second night...however, I will tell you - if you choose to do one at a time, it's wise to wait a period of time so that you can forget about the pain. I have very sensitive nipples and the second time was hell because it was so fresh in my mind as to what to expect.
I do not regret doing it. I don't think I ever will...
Take care of them with Bactine (alcohol will dry them out which increases risk of infection) and be sure to always move your rings (or barbells - however, any well-trained piercer will advise against bars because of lack of rotation) and clean them every few hours. Also, when you shower, do your best not to submerse them (in running water, bath water or pool water - NO swimming) for the first 1-2 weeks. This is best to continue until you can move the rings without pain. Also, keep all hands off (wash your hands before/after you clean them) for at least the first two weeks; Keep mouths off for the first 4 weeks (1 month).

I have 3 piercings in each earlobe, one in my (upper ear) left cartilage, one in my tongue, both nipples and my belly button.
