I'm not too familiar with him, but to be honest, any popular singer who has at least the ability to sing opera is ok in my book. I think he did some things that I have on a Pavarotti (sp?) cd I have, and I'm pretty sure he's done Nessun Dorma (not my favorite, but an aria from Turandot by some guy from the Romantic/early 20th century) at any rate...it's good that he has some real training and clout and I'm envious of his talent so there.
