My family had a dog a while back, but we had to give it up due to my dad and brother having bad allergy problems.
Sadly, I think he was put to sleep. I was pretty young at the time, and probably had no idea what was really happening.
When I get my own house soon, one of the first things I'm doing is getting a dog of some sort. I've always liked dogs, but I think this makes it more of an emotional thing too.
