wow, Glad your mom is ok.
That's a horrible story and it is easy to want revenge, but I don't think killing this man is the answer.
For one thing, it can't even be called "a deterent". It is revenge, plain and simple.
And while I understand the urge (oh how I understand), I can't justify it.
As to the "worthwhileness" of this man's life, that isn't mine to judge.
