It is actually a pretty simple idea. A primary article is an original piece of work, like a scientific study. A secondary article can be a bunch of things but essentially its a book or paper where someone has cited anothers work, like a book that has a citation of the scientific study. So, if you find a cool study in a secondary article just go to the back of it and find the source. Hope this helps
