Thanks, I'll try disabling the built in XP burning service and see if that makes a difference.
As for disc to disc, I don't think it's a resource thing (1.3 GHz CPU, 512 RAM, reader and writer both as Masters on seperate IDEs (main drive on RAID)) I have never had buffer underrun and the buffer stays at 100 % all the time when burning. I have mainly noitced the problem when disc to disc uses disc at once mode, I think track at once works, but you get a 2 second gap generally with this mode.
I want to do disc to disc at 1x as this audiably give a better soundcing copy. Creating an image first, then buring works fine, but it seems strange that disc to disc wouldn't do seeings as it's not struggling from a resources point of view.
