If you even suspect that she wasn't joking, then it might be worth taking seriously. I'm not the type to run to the cops over every little thing, but your post kind of strikes a chord because in my (medium-sized) town we recently had an incident where a 13-year old girl stabbed another girl in some disute over a boy. In the week or two since then, I've seen several other reports of stabbings involving teenagers. It seems to be some sort of trend, and we all know stabbings can be fatal.
