Heart palpitations (racing heart) are a serious thing. I rarely drink coffee/caffeene unless I really need it. It's a good thing, keeps you from being stressed, less headaches from caffeene withdrawl, no more dependance, ect. If you limit your caffeene intake you can really use it to it's potential (it'll hit you harder when you need it) and it should at least cut down on your heart palpitations.
