That's crazy, you don't need to deal with that, whether it's real or just talk. Call the police, tell them about it and mention any other illegal stuff she might be doing and let them deal with it. If the police have been involved with her before, particularly if it involved death threats, then I'd say they'll investigate this.
I can see why this guy might be your ex-best friend, dating a litle girl who makes death threats, he sounds like a real winner.
