You say that the police got involved. What's the situation with that? Was it a result of her threat or something that contributed to it?
If she's off her rocker, then she very well may be serious. It might be all talk, but is this something you really want to chance? Like F6twister said, it doesn't matter if she's from the city or not...if she's serious.
Someone needs to know about this, someone in the position to do something about it.
