NewEgg isn't famous for the quality of their products (they're not really NewEgg's products...you can't exactly "test" a retail or OEM product). What NewEgg IS famous for is their RMA policy and shipping/customer service. Most of the Internet reseller stores out there do not have an RMA policy. Yes, that means that if you get a defective product, you CANNOT have it refunded.
NewEgg is trustworthy. I've did probably $3500-$4000 worth of business with them in the past few years, and I've admittedly sent back at least $2000 worth because of defects. The point? I actually got my money back...and in some cases with no restocking fee.
Ordering PC parts online is a gamble -- they have a high percentage of coming fucked up. I simply go with the companies that DO refund your money in a timely manner. NewEgg is the best in this department.
