Whatever you do, avoid New Orleans. August makes it a sauna. *grins*
I am not fond of heat and humidity, a statement belied by the fact that I live in South Louisiana.... The islands were horribly hot and sticky in late April when we went, and Puerto Rico was equally sweltering. I can only imagine that August is worse, since I live in a semi-tropical climate, and those places are full tropical.
Me personally, I'd opt for Australia, or something slightly more north than the Carribbean... There are beautiful resorts in Mexico that I'd love to visit.
Congratulations.... and have a wonderful marriage and honeymoon.
