Because I'm stupid. Actually I bought a new hd and it got formatted to dynamic. Obviously something I missed. Lesson learned.
Anyway, using iRecover I can see all my files, so hope is on its way to being restored.
Anyone know a good way to recover the data without paying for the full version of programs?
