It depends on the State you are in.
I would look this up immediately.
You never know when she, her parents or other interested parties
might get a bug up their butt
and rat on you. (for ANY reason)
And there are no excuses when it comes to the law.
Remember...
"Sixteen will get you twenty"
and sometimes 17 will too.
Careful man...if anything, find out her B-day
and be the patient gentleman.
