Well, there are still good shows out there. 24 is starting this week, Alias started this week. Scrubs is about one of the funniest sitcoms around in my opinion.
But I know what you mean. And the networks must be loving it. Instead of paying the cast of friends a million each an episode. They can take a bunch of fat people, put them in a mansion for a month and see how much each one will lose. How much can that cost??
Anyways, seems like it is a fad that is getting to a pretty high peak at this point. I bet it drops drastically at some point. I also think at some point someone is going to get seriously injured on one of the more extreme reality shows. Then insurance rates will go through the roof, and then bye-bye to reality TV.
