My dad has Potenza RE-950s on his VW Jetta, and they are amazing in the wet and dry. I once did 180Kph (110Mph) in torrential rain and there wasn't even a hint of hydroplaning. They have a tread rating of 400, so they'll last you quite a bit, even if you drive aggressively. Their only downside is their performance in the snow, but that's to be expected out of a high performance tire. I highly recommend this tire.
