The threads title was a question - is this a question you're asking?
It seems to me that you've already answered it, or at least a decent amount of it. You seem to know yourself quite well, and I think that this can't be anything but healthy.
My friend said to me the other week:
"So, I suppose by now you've heard that I'm gay." and I said
"No, I hadn't, but good on you."
I think any step toward identifying yourself is a step in the right direction.
I am pleased that you've made so much progress. Indeed, you're probably doing a lot better than most people I know...
