Mate just give her another chance, see if she explains what happened that night she had to work. You never know, maybe she finished work and then had nothing to do while you were at the show, maybe she just fobbed you off and can't admit it.
Ask her out again and see. If she does this again then no harm done, you haven't been suckered or anything, it just wasn't going to happen. But if tonight was just a once off thing then giving her another chance could mean good things.
