thanks for the response guys. I'm usually of the mentality that tuffrr described. problem is putting that "asking as casually as possible" with "not spoiling the surprise"
its good pointing out that it's a religious holiday, and while i didn't think about it before, on further thought i realize she's not terribly religious at all.
