On those occasions, we always go for a drive and have them watch the grandson/nephew/etc. Sometimes a quick errand and sometimes a full-blown night out. It helps to have an SUV (I know they're evil, my other car is a Vespa) with a big back seat. Just like being in High School again. =)
We always park in an undeveloped portion of our neighborhood that doesn't have street lights yet, or get naked and fool around on the backroads on the drive home.
