One of the things I am most thankful of my father for is bombarding me with NPR from a young age. I always hated it until I listened once or twice. NPR is just as corporate as the ClearChannels of the world... it just hides behind a public radio disguise. It's programming, while more in-depth and international, is no more local and just as over-produced. I'm not slamming them but rather reminding you that today no business is a pure and mom-n-pop as we like to think
