I've had Valium only once. When I got my vasectomy I was told I would have to have a ride if I wanted anything other than a local for the procedure. Let's put it this way, if an operation is going to be performed on my nutsack, I'll make it a point to bring along a designated driver if that is what it is going to take.
They gave me the Valium intravenously. When they started it, the nurse told me to just look at the ceiling and let her know if I felt anything. Now this is where she messed up. She did not specify that I was to tell her if I felt anything happening or if I felt anything that I thought was not right. So a few moments later when she came to check my progress and ask if I felt anything, I told her that I wasn’t feeling anything. Not feeling anything was a pretty accurate description of it, but due to our communication barrier, she gave me another dose.
The next time she checked on my progress, I again told her I was not feeling anything wrong when she asked. She explained that by now I should be feeling the effects of the medication. Now that I understood what the hell she was talking about, I was able to mutter something that prevented them from trying a third dose.
At any rate, the next thing I can remember is standing behind my wife at the window to leave and then waking up on the floor where I fell face first from having a double dose of that shit.
I don’t think that it would be much of a study aid.
