That script is good. I used to get lots of calls around dinner time & would do my amateur version. I'd keep cooking and maintain a very positive but slightly confused demeanor. "That sounds great, but could you repeat the part about..." My gf & I would compete, putting it on speaker phone to get the best chuckles. The marketers would almost always get disgusted and hang up before we had to shut things down.
After moving to Oregon I found a state do-not call list had been established. It was something like $15/yr to sign up! Luckily the national list came along the next year. It's made a big difference, almost eliminating our calls.
