I am a HP dealer and called HP for support but got the "We no longer support that product" answer.... that was helpful.
You didn't pay too much for it.... so consider it dead. Remember it will cost more to repair it than its worth.

Hmmm...I'd like to know
why it no longer works, though. There has to be a reason.
The scanner works perfectly, and I've no other scanners, so I'll probably end up keeping it until it dies or I can afford another All-In-One.
