I know this is going to sound a bit harsh, but I personally regard people who lash out money on designer labels believing them to be of 'quality' are, frankly, stupid. And if you buy them to show you have the spending power, then, yes, you are also stupid.
Buy clothes to look good, to feel comfortable, not to parade a logo. Somehow logos/brands/labels have attracted this cachet which is completely at odds to how good they look. If I see some loser in a FCUK t-shirt, I generally assume he's a dickhead for buying it. He's then got to prove to me that he isn't. And yes, I have bridged the cognitive gap and made my peace with designer label buyers before. I just think it's foolish behaviour.
