Do you prehaps also suffer from popups?
I have seen several ad-ware softwares that attempt to grab your screens attention, often at the worst of times.
Take a look through your TaskManager process listing, if in doubt, attach a screenie of TaskManager window with ALT+PRINTSCREEN for others to examine.
