Many of you may or may not agree with this, but research has shown that the *approximate* age at which people form their first strong emotional bond with music is age 14. Therefore, I would figure out which year your grandfather was 14 and pick music from that era. For example, if he was born in 1932, then put some Tommy Dorsey in there.
