hey, I know exactly where your coming from. Two years ago I weighed 270lbs and I'm only 5'7". There was very little muscle and I was something like 40% body fat. Then I met one of my best friends and roommate. For the first semester I hated this kid. He purposefully made me feel shitty about myself. Now wait before you condem him. He saw that I needed a kick in the ass to get me started. I started going to the gym, not to lift weights but to go on the treadmill. When I started I couldn't even walk a quarter mile without wanted to stop. As I went on I would jog then walk then jog again untill i could jog better. By the end of the following summer I had lost 70 lbs and i was at 20% body fat. A nice improvment but I wanted to get better. Now i'm not suggesting that you do what I did next, I'm just telling how I got where I am today. I enlisted in the National Guard. Over that next school year I maintained my current standard. Then this past summer I went to Basic Combat Training. Thats where I really got in shape. It was constant exercise and a steady diet of water, chicken and fish. When I got back and started school this year I joined the ROTC program. I still run everyday and stay active with Raquetball. I weigh 175lbs and am at 9% body fat, when i started i was a 42 waste and now i wear size 30. The point of this that Rome wasn't built in a day. But if you want to be in shape you can be. The most important thing is to be consistant and not give up. I was the laziest person I knew and I didn't know any better. I hope this helps you see that its tough but doable. If i can do it, you can too.
