Panorama on the tweens
One for the Brits amongst us. Did anyone see the Panorama programme tonight and what thoughts did it prokoke ?
For the onon-brits, this was a programme about kids 8-12 (called "tweens" by the media) and how they respond to marketing, branding etc.
I found it shocking that kids are so driven by branding and peer pressure, but more so that parents allow it to happen. I haven't kids myself yet but have always wanted them. However programmes like this make you wonder what world it is that we'd be bringing them into.
