I loved FF7, played it when I was younger and spent like 60 hours on it, if they didn't run out of money the game would have been much better ending though.
Major Spoiler (I can't remember if its on disc 2 or 3 though): Spoiler: I never understood alot of the ending of the game, it made sense I guess you could say but there were just parts that seemed absolutely pointless and annoyed me (cloud losing his memory just got tedious and boring) I realize it played a role in moving the plot since he woulda been dead had the story been accurate to his memory but I just think it sorta ruined the experience in some ways since you spend probaly 3 hours trying to get his memory back for no real reason?
It is also blatantly obvious they ran out of money at the end because if you notice before you fight Sephiroth/Jenova for the final time there is a space where you see the entire team talking thats empty. Originally, Aeris was susposed to be able to be revived after the Temple of the Ancients on Disc 2 as I understand it (there are alot of hard to get items that have absolutely nothing to do with the game, the weapons rose/emerald, alot of boss drops that have no use and alot of side quest items [of course they could just be there for the tough accomplishment but there are more items])
(there are many clues to this throughout the game for example if you respell Aeris's name you get Raise and also in the Temple of the Ancients there is a door on the far left that you can't access due to a pillar having fallen over but the door is accessible.
Sorry, I can't figure out how to get the bold white color, hope this will do ;p
SM70 Edit: I've fixed it for you
