I know alot of people say that a playoff is the way to go, but I do not like the idea at all. Losing sucks in college football. It can prevent you from being a National Champion. However, the thing I appreciate most about the system is that it generally does not allow teams to have an off-week and survive in the national championship race. It's very interesting to see how other team's losses come in to play. I just wish they incorporated the value of strong wins like in the previous BCS system.
When I actually cared about pro football, I'd watch the Cowboys and occassionally the Broncos to see Elway play. I just find the sport boring when you can sometimes lose half of your games but still be in contention for the superbowl. Not to mention that the 2 best teams do not generally meet in the superbowl.
In college football, I often watch teams I'd never otherwise watch if it were not for the fact it could seriously affect the poll systems. While I firmly believe the BCS needs twinking and the "ideology" in the AP and ESPN polls needs to be re-evaluated, I'm often enthralled by the drama of the polls and the excitement of every game every week.
