Computers don't take the score into account anymore, or the spread would cancel out the "tough" schedule. ASU is 1-2 against ranked opponents, so they're obviously not that great. So yes, they should be 20, and Iowa 22 or 23, but that's not too big a difference.

Nice Post!
Auburn fans are asking the same question about the pollsters I'm sure. Most of the computer rankings are very very wrong. How can Arizona State be #14 in BCS? Notre Dame finished in the top 15 I believe last year with a losing record. And that was with a system I believed to be actually BETTER than this one. Jeff Sagarin ranks California ahead of Auburn. California is a good team. But, who have they beat exactly? Auburn has beat 3 teams in the top 20. Since almost a game early in the same, no one has put up much of a struggle. That isn't true for alot of higher ranked teams. So many things that need to be taken into consideration just isn't there.
Last year there was controversy, but this year if Auburn was to be kept out of the national championship while beating such great teams, then the BCS really does not have a purpose. But, if any of the top 3 teams are kept out, it seems like a great injustice as well. I think Boise State is a decent team, but the fact they are rated so high just saddens me. It would be so much more interesting to see top SEC teams, Pac-10 teams, Big 12 teams, Big 10 teams, and ACC teams just duke it out week in and week out. Watching Auburn play Citadel or USC to run through average teams every week gets so old.
