...or if you didn't want every user on your machine to be an administrator. Or if you want to host a Remote Desktop. Or if you have multiple processors. Or if you want Dynamic Disk Support. Or if for some bizarre reason you wanted to run IIS. There are indeed even more reasons to want XP Pro vs. XP Home, but not much point in listing them all here.
