The backgrounds are good designs by themselves but throw in the text it it becomes a bit of a mess. Too hard to read the text or even see the background well. Try creating a box on a seperate layer, fill it with white, maybe a gausion blur and set the transparancy to 40-60 percent and lay the text on that to make it all more "readable". You've got two good elements, they just don't go good together.
