I agree that she's gone nuts because she wants you to remember her, wants you to know she's there, she really wants you to know she exists and doesn't want you to forget. She's nuts about you mate, and if you like her too then go ahead and ask her out.
Once she's sure that you like her too she'll probably calm down, and if she doesn't there's no harm in telling her to chill out.
