Listen, if you liked this girl before why don't you ask her out? Seems like she might be trying to scare you away. It's often subconscious and lots of people do it when they're afraid to get rejected or when they're afraid to commit themselves. I think your analysis was probably right on that point. I did that to girls earlier (20 now, but I did that a whole lot when I was 16-17) because basically I didn't want to have to open up myself.
Anyway, if you ask her out and she agrees to go, but still keep on acting like this ask her why. As is mentioned in the TLF bible about dating honesty is important and if she knows that you like her better the way she is normally (assuming that the good side of her is her normal behaviour) she will probably back off of the act and you can have some sweet loving. As to this turning you off to the female species, be assured that this is universally human. Our brains are operating on a very primitive core and the more advanced parts of our brain have no way of dealing with it...
