I saw "drafted" and thought war too. I know that you're upset about your GF going away. But this is a wonderful opportunity for her. If you get drafted, you'll be making money. That means you could go see her. That's the sort of romantic thing a girl would love. I know it sucks for you. You don't have to be all manly about it, but try not to make her feel bad either.
