I don't suppose it much matters; the implication seemed to be that "real life" doesn't matter to these people, and I'm sure it does for the same reasons it does to Christians or anyone else who believes in an afterlife. They're giving their life for a cause, not just to go to heaven, or so I'd assume.
Now, wacky non-religious guy that I am, I actually think it's sort of cool that they actually
do something for their special slice of paradise instead of just whining and getting eaten by lions, but that's a whole different wild stray post.
Funny about that raisin/virgin thing, I would've thought that grapes would be the virgins.
Incidentally, does anyone know why we have prune juice but not plum juice?
