SF, I know how you feel. I have worked with people to get their weight down. You can do it. It takes will power, but its easy to build it up piece by piece. Here is how you do it.
First, like spindles said...join a gym
Then look at your diet. Write down what you eat every day. Even when you drink water. Take a log for 5 days. Add up the calories too. You can add those up, or look them up each night online. Some foods arent properly listed.
Then, look at the 5 day list of food. Pick out the things you know you need to stop eating/drinking. In broad terms like snack foods (cheetos, chips), fried foods, sugary foods.
One by one, each week...stop eating that one thing. Replace it with something more healthy. I can go on if you want. But this is a good start.
And you might think, what do I do with that gym membership? Go. Get on a bike and ride for 20 minutes. Add 5 minutes each week.
