My ex-wife really wanted to lose weight. She did 2 things:
1. got pre-prepared food delivered to our home
2. joined a gym and went everyday
#1 made sure that she was eating a calorie controlled diet. #2 was burning off excess.
The first few days were quite hard but once she was over the initial hunger, the weight really started falling off. She went from a size 16 to size 10/12, kept it off and looked fantastic. Too bad she was a cow in other ways
Just remember that you are in charge of what goes into your mouth!
